WooCurve

Dear Friend of WooCurve,

When I first co-founded WooCurve I had one goal.

I wanted to help WooCommerce Store Owners increase sales and revenue. If people asked me what WooCurve did, I said “we help WooCommerce stores make more money.”

We built the best products on the planet to do this - One Click Upsells and Handsome Checkout.

But they were just the beginning…

As I got to know this community and work one on one with our clients, my vision grew.

See my expertise is in sales, marketing and copywriting. I don’t code.

And I found I truly enjoyed sharing and teaching what was working for me in my other businesses and what my mentors were pouring into me.

It was energizing to me…

And for me personally, it was really satisfying because our products provided a natural entry point to share and teach while also producing real revenue results.

I relied on others who had the technical expertise to make sure our products did what we said they did.

But as we grew, internally, we were plagued with support tickets for the same issues over and over. I spent more and more time nudging internal stakeholders to follow up with customers in support...

“Where are we on this issue?”

“I thought we fixed this last month?”

“It’s been two days can you give this person an update?”

I asked these questions so often, I created short keys on my computer so I didn’t have to type them so much.

Focusing on these recurring issues kept me from doing what I did best. And kept me from making the kind of impact I wanted to make.

But even more important than that, you weren't getting the kind of support you deserved.

Over the last few days, in light of everything that has happened I’ve been sitting quietly with one simple question…

What do I want?

The immediate answer is easy.

I want to take care of you, my clients.

And there are a couple of people behind the scenes that I want to take care of.

Simple.

But going deeper….what do I want for me?

That answer has become clear as well.

  • I want to continue serving you.

  • I want to continue sharing and teaching what is working in my other businesses and what my mentors are teaching me.

  • And I want to help you use the best products on the planet to achieve real revenue results in your business.

But how? What will best serve you, my client?

Last June, a business I’d been keeping my eye on, launched a product called UpStroke under the brand WooFunnels.

I bought the product and was simultaneously ticked off and impressed.

It was like they had a copy of my product roadmap. They even added features I hadn’t even thought about yet.

In my opinion, I was now looking at the best product on the planet for One Click Upsells.

Soon they released Aero Checkout which was a competitor to Handsome Checkout.

Competition is Coexistence

My friend and mentor Brian Kurtz says this all the time about competition.

And this past week, in the middle of the storm, more than one competitor reached out to me directly asking if they could do anything to help.

Human to human. It has meant a lot to me.

Daman at WooFunnels was among the first.

And as we talked I realized our visions for serving the WooCommerce community are so close and complimentary it’s a little scary.

So here is the punchline of this entire letter…

I love the products WooFunnels has built.

Their support team is off the charts fast and their refund rate, since launching in June, is ridiculously low.

After careful consideration, I have determined that my original vision for WooCurve can best be reached by working side by side with Daman and the WooFunnels team.

I believe in the product and the team behind it so much that I am officially giving WooFunnels my full endorsement.

I have even secured exclusive introductory pricing for WooCurve customers that has never been offered before.

Your price is even lower than their recent Black Friday prices…

Now before I get to that, there are FOUR things I want you to know:

  1. This is not an acquisition. This is me endorsing a product that I believe will best help your business. I still own my portion of our code.

  2. I am not being paid for this. I do not get a commission for anyone who says YES to this offer.

  3. I’m not going away. I will be working closely with the WooFunnels team (and you) under a separate arrangement that is not yet finalized. I want you to know this so you can see that the offer you’re getting now is not contingent on anything I do in the future with WooFunnels.

  4. If you want to keep using WooCurve, I’m taking care of you too.

Let’s start with the last point.

For anyone who purchased from WooCurve, your products still work. I will continue supporting you through your subscription period.

But we will not be issuing any updates. And I have cancelled all recurring billing so you will not be re-billed.

I still stand by my word to take care of anyone who wants a refund. Just know I will need some time and will be pulling from my personal funds as I no longer have access to WooCurve cash.

Your Special Introductory WooFunnels Pricing

I wanted to make this a complete no brainer for you. And again, this is ONLY for WooCurve customers.

I will be checking purchases against our current customer records.

Wednesday I will be announcing the special introductory pricing I have secured for WooCurve customers.

Wrapping Up

The events of this past week have been some of the most difficult I’ve had to deal with both on a professional and personal level.

My focus from day one has been on taking care of you.

The court of public opinion can wait. I’m not interested right now.

What I’ve laid out above in terms of my endorsement of WooFunnels and the deal I secured for you, is what I truly believe is the best way to take care of you moving forward.

I am eager to look forward again. I am excited to carve out with Daman and the WooFunnels team, the best way to bring our goals and visions for the WooCommerce community together.

And while we figure out what that looks like, there’s no reason that should hold you up from moving forward with growing your business.

And that’s why I strongly encourage you to make the switch to WooFunnels. I will release more details on Wednesday.

I look forward to continuing to work with you.

To your success,

Chris

P.S. If you have additional questions, I’ve put together some FAQs below.

Are you getting paid to endorse WooFunnels?

No

Are you selling WooFunnels your customer email addresses and purchase history?

No

Why not relaunch WooCurve?

I have always wanted to just focus on putting good products out into the world and selling them. I enjoy working with WooCommerce store owners and helping them grow their businesses.

I don’t want to rebuild a new development, support and product team. It is not in line with the goals I have set for my business in 2019. I trusted others in their character and legal obligations to serve the WooCommerce Store Owner on the technical side of our business. I simply don’t enjoy the tech at the level required to best serve WooCurve customers.

I want to keep using WooCurve. What do I do?

I will continue to support WooCurve customers through the end of their subscription period. I will not be releasing updates for WooCurve products. You are welcome to continue using the WooCurve version of the plugins beyond this period without support.

If you see an update for your WooCurve product it is not from me. Updating will move you under the care of my former partner. I do not recommend doing business with him but that is 100% your decision.

Will I still be charged for WooCurve?

No. I have personally cancelled and suspended every subscription under the WooCurve umbrella. There are zero future charges that will come from WooCurve. If you see an update for your WooCurve product it is not from me. Updating will move you under the care of my former partner. I do not recommend doing business with him but that is 100% your decision.

Is my store data safe?

Yes! From the initial onset of these events unfolding, my reaction was always total shock, amazement, and absolute disbelief that this could happen.

In that initial state, there were a few specific words that I used which weren’t accurate.

Since we all run Businesses, please extend a bit of EMPATHY and allow a bit of forgiveness as I clarify:

No, there is no evidence of actual "Key Stroke Logging". I now fully understand, on a more technical level, exactly what that phrase means and, now I better realize what hearing those words might have meant to you as Fellow Store Owners.

Your customer's data, your customers CC info, your Store's website, and your store's transactions did NOT have each keystroke stored - EVER.

My former partner simply hijacked and took over WooCurve data.

Not yours.

I still have a question. What do I do?
